John Wimsatt

John Wimsatt joined ECN in 2016 and is the the Chief Investment Officer. He was previously the head of corporate development and investor relations. Previously Mr. Wimsatt spent more than 20 years as a principal investor across debt and equity securities with a focus on the North American financial services industry. He acted as a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager with Franklin Mutual Advisors, KBW Asset Management and Nomura Asset Management and as a Senior Securities Analyst with Levin Capital Strategies and FBR Asset Management. He began his career as an investment research analyst with Friedman, Billings, Ramsey & Co. focused on North American banks and consumer and commercial finance companies. Mr. Wimsatt received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fairleigh Dickenson University.
