Mary Beth Koenig

Mary Beth Koenig is the Chief Legal Officer for ECN Capital. She is responsible for all legal, regulatory, compliance, and acquisition matters involving ECN and its subsidiaries. She also oversees corporate communications, development, and public affairs.

Before joining ECN, Mary Beth spent over twenty-one years in-house, serving as counsel for multi-national corporations overseeing corporate compliance and governance, employment matters, and complex acquisitions and divestments. Most recently, she served as General Counsel for Progressive Waste Solutions’ United States Operations, assisting in repositioning the company before its acquisition by Waste Connections, Inc.

Mary Beth is also active in various philanthropic endeavors, serving as past President for the North Texas Animal Rescue, and volunteering for Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity, and the Domestic Abuse Hotline. Ms. Koenig graduated in the top 3% of her class at Duquesne University School of Law, where she served as the Senior Editor for the Duquesne Law Review. She is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Texas, and Florida. She is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, Association of Corporate Counsel, and was the past President of the Building Products Association of America.
