David Morris
In Memoriam
It is with sadness and gratitude that we acknowledge the passing of David Morris on October 1st, 2025. David was an instrumental member of the ECN board of directors and a leader to the employees that worked closely with him.
David Morris served on ECN Capital’s Board of Directors and was Chair of the Audit Committee. After 41 years he retired as a senior audit partner at Deloitte & Touche LLP. He had extensive experience auditing global financial institutions and public companies. David worked closely with ECN executive on several special engagements relating to mergers and acquisitions, due diligence and complex transactions. With his strong background with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission registrants, including internal controls over financial reporting, David was often sought out to advise senior management and directors throughout his career.
He will be remembered as a man of calm presence, sharp intellect, and generous spirit – someone whose quiet strength, perseverance, and humility, will continue to inspire ECN and all those he leaves behind.
Mr. Morris is a graduate of McGill University.
